Not really. If you are having it permanently then it is the ISP's fault, you might also enquire if they are having network issues.
There are a lot of threads on this forum complaining about high latency with Telkom Internet, though most of those are based in PE.
Yea, With AFrihost I get 190 ping.
So it is telkom ISP thats the problem here.
Guess i'll have to change it
