Telkom Agent - Please Help - Major signal outage issues in Lyndhurst JHB

Dear Telkom Agent

Please assist, our offices are right next door to one of the Telkom LTE towers in Lyndhurst JHB. (Corner of Johannesburg Roads and Kernik Ave, Lyndhurst.)

Their is a major signal problem in this area that has persisted for 3 weeks now. It seems that the LTE tower closest to us has issues as we loose full signal on a regular basis. If we power off the routers and then on again it sometimes resolves the issues.

We have 2 LTE routers and have used them at this location for over 12 months and not had any issues with signal at all. We normally have 100% signal 99% of the time.

Please assist urgently as this is effecting my business as well as many of the other business around us as almost the entire office park is on TELKOM LTE.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a country wide problem with the Telkom LTE network. What you can try to do is force your LTE routers to use 3G only. This should give you a more stable internet connection, although a much slower one

Its ok for a capped package, problem is on uncapped they dont allow 3G connections. However we did try this but their is a major issue with one of the towers closest to us that has gone down and so now the routers are trying to connect to the next available which is to far away and hence we are stuck.

Telkom please what is going on with LTE in Lyndhurst JHB????? its been 2 days now no signal, no internet!!!!!!!
