Both of the reasons relate to the fact that Telkom is in a closed period. The AGM was held seven months after the financial year-end. This unacceptably long delay meant the AGM bumped up against the release of results for the six months to September.

Shareholders expecting a telecommunications wired fixed monopoly to communicate - what were shareholders thinking...

I would have been there except I was returning in heavy traffic from the bush where I retreated for my first holiday in nearly 2 years, it seems I missed nothing except the opportunity to vote against the share buyback scam.
