I have a customer that is moving from one building to another literally across the road to their original premises.
They currently have ADSL that is running at 6.5MBps.
Telkom have stated that when they move their line will run at 2MBps.
This has been confirmed by the Telkom account manager arranging the transfer of lines.
Telkom want to offer LTE 50GB package for R1719.00 per moth.

What alternatives are available in the area?
Ideally not expensive and also with the rollout of fibre in JHB don't want to sign a 2 or 3 year contract.

There are occasions that Telkom make errors.

Does your client know the number for the telephone line installed there (new premises)? If so, PM me and I can see what I can pick up for you.

Thanks for the offer.
They are going to transfer their line and keep the number. There is no existing ADSL line in new premises.
This is what does not make sense, other than cabling distance.

I have asked my customer to check ADSL speed with other tenants in the new building.

Some feedback - the other tenants in the new building complain about slow speed and terrible connectivity.
I was wondering if there is a possibility of fire link to building if a few businesses sign up together.
There are only about 4 small businesses operating from this building.
Anyone got suggestions / options.

An update.
Neotel came out to test signal for LTE (Their R999.00 per month package would have been a good option), and unfortunately the signal is not good enough. So we are still looking for a reasonably priced alternative.
