For a long time now (since the implementation of ASSIA) I have been enjoying sync speeds of up to 5120K on my 4MB line. Yesterday, that changed, and my sync speed has permanently dropped to 4096K. On the upside, my ping has dropped from 46ms to 1ms!
Since I don't really game online, I was more than happy to benefit from the extra download speed, but now I've had to take a 20% performance knock in favour of improved latency.
Obviously, explaining this to Telkom has proved to be an impossibility.
So should I just be happy with things as they are? What are the chances that it might revert back to the higher 5120K sync rate again?
My line stats are excellent, so I can't figure out why it happened.
