It's very easy for telkom to under-cut IS, or anyone, for that matter.

Yup.. cos as they say 'we own the network'.. that our parents and grandparents paid for.

However, questions arise as to why the two financial service firms decided not to go with a consortium comprising Internet Solutions (IS), its parent Dimension Data, and British Telecom, as the bank and life assurer jointly hold 40% of IS.

Uhh.. because they're cheaper? Duhhhh.

It's exactly the same reason why my company (also a bank) went with telscum about 3 years ago. Of course, we're regretting it now, due to their bad service of our SLAs.
