If it's the same On the go data deal of November, what is nice is that one can buy topups for R99 for 10GB and R59 for 5GB.

here's a better deal,
Rain fixed LTE, R250 per month, no contracts, no capping between the specified times (11PM till 6PM the next day),
and can cancel anytime you want.

why exactly is Telkom even trying with these deals? anybody will just go RAIN

Paying R110 less and it being like uncapped ALL hours, because 10GB is way more than enough for my smartphone. (have fibre at home)

RAIN... real useful for someone in Bela Bela or Groblersdal right?

And speeds are equally slow on both for me, which makes the rain deal better as it's least it's not limited.

Stop posting articles that have specials if you sign a 24-month contract. No one does 24-month contracts anymore! We don't do Skype, we don't do Mxit, we don't do Win 3.1 and we don't do friggen 24-month contracts.

Stop it now

With these contract specials they should also specify the cancellation rules.
Has MB tested Telkom's "new" cancellation process?

To all prostective clients of this Telkom intiative.
Good luck! Also remember that I would not tell you in 2 years time, when the contract ran out, to say: "I told you so!"
If something is too good to be true, then normally it is!

Easy peasy: when contract ends, convert to prepaid. This is done IMMEDIATELY on Telkom's system.

You can then shred the sim, use it for a spare or even wipe your butt on it

Last year alone I canceled 3 Telkom mobile contracts with no issues.
Do it in store and they sort you out.

The landline/Telkom home products are a major problem with cancellations

Fixed vs Mobile.
The Telkom contract is brilliant for those who need mobile data.

This contract + dual sim phone and you're sorted with mobile data for the price of 1GB Vodacom data and it can be shared/transferred to other Telkom numbers.

Yeah, I just transfer my unused data (up to 10GB) to my dads SIM.
