I just opened may latest Telkom bill (invoice date 18 October) and I see that "Business DSL 1024" is now called "DSL Up to 4096kbps".
The price is unchanged at R452.63 ex. VAT.

My Home bill (invoice date 12 October) is still "Home DSL 384".

Seems my home 4mb/s connection is still called Home DSL 512. ;)

Needless to say I wont be complaining.

384 is classified as an upto service because of people previously on 192 who may not be able to synch at 384. 512 is not an upto service because if u cant get 512 u get 384, pretty straight forward. Because most 1mb lines have been upgraded to 4092 it gets classified as an upto service because not everybody will be able to get 4092, therefor they get the closest possible speed. Its not a garanteed 4092, unless of course ur line can handle it...
