Telkom blocking sites?

Hey,

I don't know if it's just me, but it seems that some sites work on and off for ADSL users but are always online for normal users. for instance, www.matthawkins.co.uk a site that I find invaluable for filmmaking discussion and film distribution is up for half the month and then down for the other half... Does this site work for any of you and are there any ways of getting it to work?

on my account that site does not come up but it may be that the site itself is down.

Try using telkoms proxy (dsl-cache.saix.net port 8081). I had a similar problem with some sites, forget which ones now but using the proxy I was able to connect to them again.
I believe that this is due to a large number of the adsl IP range appearing on spam blacklists as a result of the telkom network being used for spamming and other hostile activities. Maybe someone with a better understanding of this may be able to tell you more.
