Telkom group chief executive officer Sipho Maseko will step down on 30 June 2022, the company said in a statement on Friday, 23 July.

The company said that the process to appoint a successor is well underway and a designated group chief executive officer will be announced in the not too distant future.

A year, or so ago he and the then CFO got rid of their shares around the same time. A few weeks later the CFO left. Now Maseko is leaving. What do they know that we don't?

What ever happened to the fake number plate saga?
O, it wasn't Sipho's fault. You know how it goes up there....
He'll probably join julias. He donated the eff R1 million a few years back.

Progress, landlines are so 1980’s.
That is true but their handling of the migrations was very poor, it showed the traces of the arrogance that has been so synonymous with the company.

They just started cutting people off with no options and lost many customers in the process, when they saw the mess they have created they backpedalled and started offering their pure connect ADSLs it was a good offering but the damage was already done.

Sometimes difficult choices must be made to keep the business profitable. Rather retrench some people than have constant bailouts or worse an entire company fails.
