However, in response Telkom's Rikus Matthyser said the fixed-line operator was surprised at the Forum's response in the light of the fact that Telkom had - since unveiling the PC deal on Friday - been praised by "very well-informed customers" ordering the PC bundle.

"The amount that a customer will be billed for the high-end PC over 36 months, for example, is R6 582 inclusive of VAT (R183 per month), which is a far cry from the miscalculated R12 000 amount estimated by the SMME Forum," Matthyser continued.

Obviously the "well informed customers" that Telkom knows are as thick as two short planks.
