CellC's 100GB for R999 is a better option if you don't need the LTE MIFI device.... I have "cancelled" but I haven't heard anything since ..... So I honestly doubt that I will see my R99 again unless I freak out in a Telkom shop .... Maybe one day when I am bored

I'm not sure why Telkom has the Telkom rep on this forum, as they are never active it seems... they used to be really helpful here and sorted issues quickly - now totally useless :(

Agreed.... well, this morning around 8:30am I got an SMS stating that the Modem would be delivered. Soooo, here is the dilemma... as CellC was out of stock of their modem deal at R99 per month... so I thought, what the hell, and signed for it.

Amazingly, the SIM is active, so no waiting for it to go "live".... I have actual put the SIM into a Huawei B315s which I will be putting into my Mother's house, and I am selling the Huawei E5577 on Gumtree. I don't need it, so it's up for sale :p ..... fingers crossed that you all get yours sooner than later.... but what a nightmare when it comes to communication. Telkom would be great, if they just communicated better on online orders, etc..... :p

OK, Telkom called me this morning and apologised for the delay and asked that I remain patient, as they are waiting for stock - at least it seems like I will be getting the deal......

Hi supersunbird

We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Kindly be advised that we received feedback from the Team that the March Deal has now expired. It was while stocks last.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.

Your Social Media reference number is blah blah blah yackity smackity

WTF, you apply for something on the day 3rd of the month, other people apply later and get it, but no, you were too slow and it was "while stocks last"...

At least I now have clarity on the situation.

I took out this deal in March. Did an online application. I later received a call from somebody who identified themselves as a Telkom employee who called to confirm my application. The contract was subsequently approved during the conversation. The contract was for R99 per month for the 5gig with mifi LTE device. I was told by the agent that on successful debit of R99, I would receive my device and that the R99 WOULD BE CREDITED to my April invoice. When I received my April invoice, the credit was not there. I called Telkom's call center and spoke to Phiwe Mduli who told me that the R99 was an admin fee changed by the call center, Cell Direct, whom they use to enlist new customers. Nowhere in my conversation was this ever made known to me or advertised by Telkom. This is very unfair as the call center (Cell Direct) did not disclose this at any point of our conversation. Had I know this, I would never have given out my details to a third party. This is unethical to me. Its not about the R99 but rather, giving out personal information to a third party. This should be disclosed.

I was/am also under the impression that the R99 would be credited again?
The person I spoke to when giving my details actually stated that (and I have a recording of that)
I opted for a debit order on the last day of the month - let's see what happens......

I got my bank to reverse the debit. Contact your bank and they will reverse it. R99 is not much but it's the principle.

Was also debited R198 this month and no credit for the R99. The invoice says this:

15 March - 31 March 2016

Debited R198.

Now to dispute this ****.

strange....
I opted for the debit to run on the last day of the month - no money was deducted from my account yesterday (not R99 or R198)

I also noticed that the data seems to carry over for one month, as last months data is still valid till end May and the May new data is valid till end June.
Also got 10GB WiFi data again, we I don't really use
