Telkom Deal of the month

Friend of mine applied for this months deal of 4meg line with LIT box and wifi router/modem and extender. He was on a 4meg line m2m but on old contract - paying about R800. Now on new deal he will be paying R599.

The catch: because he was on a 4meg line already they did not want to give him a router/modem. He only got the LIT box and extender.

Anybody had a similar experience?

Maybe they based it on the fact that he was upgrading so he would already have a router.

The free router is only for new customers and not existing Telkom customers.

It is the equipment that make the deal a 24m contract otherwise you can do it m2m. Is it still a fair 24m contract if you don't get all the "free" equipment?

I would say its a fair contract but the freebies take the deal over the top and make it a no brainier. I'm currently on 10mbps HomeUnlimited can confirm its the best thing since sliced bread.

Took the deal however they have not given me my lit box nor.have they installed my adsl line correctly ..No help when you call the call centre

You have to be patient with Telkom, I found that out the hard way. I waited 2 weeks for my line to be upgraded since it was still running on my old Mweb 2mbps speed.


Try logging in using guest accounts to see if the fault lies with the line or the account.

Also login on the telkom app to track your order and log a fault.

Lit box will take a while due to the backlog I have not received mine expecting it to be mid Feb tbh.
