Telkom defends local loop

Government will pass the convergence bill and then tell telkom to unloop local bundling.
Telkom wont be able to use the telecomm act cos it will no longer exist by then.

In its statement yesterday, Telkom said: “While local loop unbundling will contribute to increased broadband penetration and competition, we do not believe it will contribute to an increase of investment in infrastructure.”

Am I the only one who read this as Telkom saying if you unbundle the local loop we'll refuse to invest in infrastructure?

I think they are trying to pretend that they know everything there is to know about increasing infrastructure and the benfits of local loop unbundling, and they are trying to trick people into believing their lies and trying to say if you dont listen to us you are going to get burned. Lies lies and more lies.
