Telkom denies price-increase allegations

Telkom has refuted price-increase claims made by Orion Telecoms in an article published earlier this month on IT news site myadsl.co.za. The managing director of Orion, Jacques du Toit, stated in the article that the public needed to be alerted to Telkom�s price hike. He said that Telkom had added an extra R0.44 to the cost of a call to a Value-Added Network (VAN) service provider, and that its interconnect rates amounted to "swindling".
