Telkom Do Gaming add-on not running full speed

Hi, I have a Telkom Simple 10GB soft-cap account. I play a lot of online games an bought the add-on, but when I reached my cap and enter soft-cap the add-on also runs on soft-cap speeds.
Telkom states in the add-on description: This add-on will still run at full speed even when you are Soft Capped but it doesn't.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

That thing is so full of holes I would just avoid it.

Once you reach your cap everything runs at a lower speed, gaming add-on & nightsurfer.
