Telkom DSL Down? What to do?

After dialing to the ISP (which works on another line... Telkom Guest account gives same error) it says Connecting throught WAN Miniport PPPOe, after a like max 20 seconds it says "Opening Port... then "Error 678 The Remote computer did not respond."

Line worked in morning, did not in afternoon. In the router, it reports line is up, syncing, and is 512kbps down and 26kbps up, even though the subscriber is on a 384kbps line.

It use to say 384kbps, something changed? HELP

That sounds like an authentication problem MrG, telkom should be able to fix it, if I recall correclty you should just phone them and ask them to do a port reset, it should sort it out, I haven't tried it yet, so I can't say, read it on the forum. I'm not sure about the sync speed, that sounds wrong, the router might be faulty ;)
