And 2 years later Openserve is still installing ADSL lines and if it goes down still sends techs to attend to faults.

Openserve ADSL and VDSL is like that cockroach you sprayed with doom and the next morning still kicks every few seconds.
Yes, my mother in Great Brakriver WC still has DSL because of No Fiber access. Will probably go on like this for many years to come. Until someone lay fiber, this will be the best way to use the internet. No LTE

On 45Mb vdsl because fibre in my area costs too much, nearly R300 more than equivalent line speed not 2km away that a friend has.
Same for my mother in Great Brak River WC. 10mbps is fastest DSL in area, No LTE

Telkom CEO Serame Taukobong told TechCentral that the network operator would likely “totally exit” from copper in the next 18 months to two years.

He said Telkom would migrate its DSL subscribers to newer technologies like fibre and fixed-4G and 5G products
so I can expect Openserve fibre availability within the next 18 to 24 months?

because the only reason I'm still one of those 120,000 sticking with DSL is there's only one fibre network in my street which locals are constantly moaning about: Octotel
