Hi All
I am currently running a 20mb/s ADSL line through a Billion Wireless/3G ADSL router to my Linksys WRT54GL router, which runs DD-WRT. I only use the Billion router to interface to ADSL, and bridge it over to the Linksys.
I want to switch to a 40mb/s Telkom fibre connection. My main question is, if Telkom connect me to fibre, will the connection from their interface box be able to plug straight into my Linksys WRT54GL router? It has an input called "Internet" instead of "WAN", but I assume it's the same thing.
I'm not sure if I need a VDSL router in between? A further question is will the Linksys WRT54GL router be able to handle 40mb/s?
I know the Linksys WRT54GL router is old, but I use the DD-WRT for various things.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Cheers
Cliff
