Back when I was there, we had a whole 2Mbps total, upgraded at some point to 10Mbps.
At work, I haven't been able to get over 95Mbps recently, I think when we moved offices a 100Mbps switch must have been used somewhere :-(.
I don't quite follow, perhaps I did not properly state my opinion, which is that government is heavily represented on Telkom's board of directors and thus has the power to steer Telkom in any direction that government wants Telkom to go.

Telkom did make an official announcement after MyBB published that article. Upgrades will be phased in Aug/Sept 2012.Seems Telkom has already dropped the ball in the speed upgrades. I have a 1 mbps line, and I've not seen any improvement in my speed, up or down.
