Telkom Huawei B315s LTE Router with Telkom's Smart Braodband Uncapped Wireless ....

Hi,

My router isn't doing anything other than showing the power light. I've tried to access it to reset - both through LAN cable and WiFi but didn't manage. I'm told that the router has broken. I've only had it appr. 8 months.

Has anyone experienced this? What did you do / what do I do now?

Wasn't clear if you tried resetting the B315s using "Reset" on the back panel of the router.

Also carefully double-check the SIM.

I believe TelkomZA is the rep on MyBB.

Hi and thanks.

This occured whilst I was trying to configure 2 Huawei wifi "range extenders" (?).

Tried the recessed reset button on back of 315. Seems it needs to be depressed whilst pressing the top power on button. I hold them both in until the red arrows come on (showing boot sequence?). Then the B315 goes through a sequence ending in only the power light remaining on.

I did eventually take the sim out hoping that would help but it didn't...

Any further corrections/thoughts welcome.

Had resigned myself to taking it to a Telkom Direct store tomorrow morning for repairs/exchange.

Now I see, you have entered into factory mode.

Correct reset procedure only require pressing reset button for 3 about second, till lights start blinking, then release button. Don't use any metal tips, a wood tooth pick is fine.
