Solidarity declared a dispute with Telkom (TKG) over the telecommunication company's interpretation of a 2006 wage agreement that the trade union on Wednesday said deprives workers of part of their remuneration.

Solidarity declared the dispute on Tuesday. It said the dispute arose from Solidarity's unhappiness with Telkom's interpretation of primarily one point in the substantive that was reached between Solidarity and Telkom in April 2006.

The fact that they do this to their own employees is shocking. One can understand (definitely not condone) it in a regulatory environment, but with employee satisfaction being one of their new ‘pillars’ it is clear that it is merely lip service.

Thought the pillars crumbled before Papi left.
By the way, what ever came of the dispute he had with TELKOM when he left, he made a lot of noise about an exit package of sorts?

Good on Solidarity, keep them on their toes.
Low, Lower, Lowest, Telkom.

They really are trying their level best to kill off their own company, it seems...

I know quite a few Telkom employees
The only use they'd have for those pillars would be impaling management on it

I'd wager that 95% of TKG employees hates Telkom even more than most MyAdsl members

Papi never actually unveiled any new pillars - they never existed & were never built, Papi did however expose his inner pillock for all to see .

As for the remuneration dispute, Telkodemonopolies will tear of several miles of flesh if given an inch, so Solidarity is predictably going to have to take legal action...
