Telkom installation: schedule date?

I'm moving into a new place on 1 December. I want to get Telkom ADSL up and running as quickly as possible - on the 1st or 2nd if at all possible. However, until the 30th of November, different tenants are living there, so I don't want Telkom to show up before Dec.

If I order ADSL+landline from Telkom on their site, can I schedule when they must come? Or are they likely to just pitch up whenever?

If you already have a line just relocate it, I gave them the day and they'll move it then. Although I gave them a bit more warning and they just now rescheduled it for sooner and I had to contact them to move it back.

If not just order a new line, they'll send you the order number with install date and you can call them back to move it to whenever. You may be pushing it trying to get it installed so soon actually

They take so long you will be lucky to have it in January next year!

All the best mate, Hellkom sucks most of the time when it comes to installations. You'd be lucky if you get a solid install date and it actually happens on that day

I had a line installed recently - got an SMS with the initial appointment date and a URL to a site where I could re-schedule.

I changed the date to an earlier date, got an SMS confirming the date.

The techy arrived on the date that I had selected and did what he needed to do.
