My 110Gb cap usually runs out in the last week every month, no problem its expected, then I go on slow, still no problem for me.

This month something new happened. Last week my cap run out for one day on slow, as expected.
Then suddenly the next day, I am fast again. I thought it was a fault, ignore and start using at full speed.

Surprise:(ADSL Feedback-Weekly)
I received an e-mail as usual once per week to notify me about cap status.

To my shock I saw another 100Gb was added as "Post Paid" @ R12 per 1GB. I do not wanted this, I did not asked for it, I do not want to pay for this. The total now at 200Gb for June. I already used 6Gb =(R72.00).

Correspondence with Telkom, various sections, billing & RT etc.
They all responded back that I am not on "Post Paid" option, and my browsing is slow!=Wrong!

My browsing/downloading is fast not slow. I cannot get them to understand this neither correct it thus far(One week of correspondence), Call Centre useless, and lack insight.

How do I get this problem solved-? Could it be a billing nightmare on the horizon coming next months bill, not just for me perhaps-?

What do I do-? If I continue I am going to get a massive bill compared to the usual...?

Visit Telkom Direct Shop today. Just before me another client, same problem. The manager will take it further.

They looked at account with reply=Your cap is depleted, you browse at a reduced speed.

################

E-Mail from Telkom RT this morning with reply(Slightly different). Sir your cap has not been depleted yet.

All previous e-Mail replaies from different sections=Sir your cap has beed depleted , you browse at a reduced speed.(I was used to this reply).

My cap notice:

Something else noticed phoning 10210:

I tried 5 times with no success.......................
.....The 1st two times I was requested to enter phone number, then ID number.. then forward through menu.
......The 3/4/5 time these was not requested. The 5th time operator answer and said cannot assist all their systems off line.

Try tomorrow again to try to get psw reset for Telkom Internet Portal access to try to see whats going on with cap from that perspective.

I tell you, the so called "Modern-World" is a pype dream if theres problems.

Ok, I managed to get my TI-PSW resetted, now I can login.

I can now see what they see="You are browsing at reduced speed"= No, I am not, .......

I can see next to it the following:
SoftCap (100GB)
Monthly Allocation Depleted
76.90 % Out-of-Bundle Remaining

****Now this is the next 100gb which is the unexplainable "Post Paid" nonsense.
****23.10GB now used...?????

Problem still not solved.......TI-Tracker says "Post Paid" remaining, but also indicated that I have not yet activated "Post Paid".

20170701-TI Usage Reset......100Gb Softcap available.Fixed Product: SOFTCAP UNSHAPED (100GB) (5 MAILBOXES)

Note:
The "Post Paid" option is now missing, I can't see anything about it anywhere Now, it is just missing altogether. (After changing Notifications to 70% Daily).
***Before I changed Notifications, I could see a block for "Post Paid". (My 1st check at Notifications).
***Under TI-Tracker by Notifications I can see an empty block about "Post Paid", otherwise "Post Paid" disappeared of the face of the earth. I hope it stays away for good.

***Yesterday I was not allowed to change Notifications. I got a message when saved in orange banner saying "I now never will receive notifications again"...??
***Hell know how these displays works.

I did that.....They(The manager) will look into it. I send them e-mails with screenshots.

What I see now:
Logged in to Telkom INternet, I see only TopUp option, the "Post Paid" option vanished from that space.
However, My usagae notification set to daily, which I received this morning via e-mail, still show "Post Paid" option, however with zero used because I have 92% left of original 100Gb for July month.

Note: When the "Post Paid" cap was operational(100gb softcap depleted), I did experience the "Post Paid" runs up very quickly without doing much. This is much of a worry also.

Questions:
Are this "Post Paid" thing mulfunctioning and adding itself-?

or

Are there Call Centre operators adding this feature to unsuspecting subscribers, to catch them out with a huge unexpected bill-?

I am now getting sick of this nonsense.

Qwote:
Customers will have their speed reduced and their connection will be shaped to prioritise traffic like e-mail, banking and browsing and to deprioritise high-bandwidth applications such as peer-to-peer file sharing and streaming. All data consumed using this “soft cap” will be free.
>>>This is what I had and want.

Those customers wanting to resume full-speed downloads can top up their data allowance by buying prepaid data or by upgrading to a higher cap package.
>>>I did not opt for this TopUp, no problem.

Consumers can also opt for Telkom’s post-paid pay-per-use model where they are billed for data consumed. Customers using the pay-per-use option will be allowed double their chosen cap limit, but will be unable to change this limit. Those who choose this option can request the soft cap at any time by visiting Telkom’s Internet usage tracker tool on the company’s website.
>>>I did not asked for this, in fact I did not had access to Telkim Internet to activate it myself either.

Where exactly are you logging in?

You should use https://customerportal.telkomsa.net

The landing page for the old tracker tool at https://secure.telkomsa.net/titracker/ puts the login for the new customerportal first.

Tracker may not handle some cases correctly, please check on customerportal first.

(The plan when I was still there was that tracker was supposed ro be decommissioned by the end of March, but some things seem to have changed)
