So we have this Telkom phone at the office because we wanted to keep the Telkom number at the new location, the problem is that the signal isnt that great and we would like to change the aerial. The current aerial is a Female RP-TNC which some routers use. When shopping online they only have 2.4gHz aerials would this work to connect the phone to the cell tower or does it need a special one?

Thanks.

It is easy to get a high gain antenna with a SMA connector. If you can get a SMA to RP-TNC adapter than you have more choices to select a suitable antenna.

The Land Line Look Alike phones use a SIM card, so you could try the using a SIM in a router with a RJ11 port that allows an analogue phone to be used with the router. You would obviously want a router that supports an external antenna in this case.

Have you tried to get hold of Telkom regarding this issue?

Necro....

Are there any data packages you can add/buy with this FLLA?
If so, how much data is allocated for a month and how much more is added to the 'line rental'?
