Telkom launches 2TB for R699 LTE deal

Wonder if they will R400 for 1tb and R250 for 500gb. 500gb be awesome to have as 2nd sim

How are the speeds on Telkom these days?

They are definitely working on the network.

2G is almost completely switched off. 3G spectrum has reduced to increase band 1 spectrum. They have Band 20 live also which was their temp spectrum allocation I think and also the spectrum they bought on auction. Should be pretty good overall but if this deal really takes off it might drop the average speeds especially during evening peaks.

Spectrum is still the biggest factor when it comes to speed on mobile networks.

I have better speeds on Telkom LTE then on Rain 5G in my area. The only issue I have now, when applying for the R699 option, (month to month), it still shows 24 month. I really want this but not going to do this if it is a 24 month contract.

Telkom LTE is a hit and miss to be honest, their network works for most of the time but these days I have blind spots in the yard where there is no network.
This is the only reason I

Sounds promising, but going to wait and see then, give it a month or two. Looking for a decent LTE solution again, but one we can travel with. MTN is just too reliable for me, but they aren't cheap in the slightest.

It means if you cancel after the 1st month, you have to give the SIM back. Just send them a 99c SIM from PEP :p

MultiSIM Datashare would be nice if they allowed it. I know they won't.

Can't seem to see on their site how long the data is valid for on the month to month option....
Anyone know?

Hooray! This keeps the fibre boys honest.
