Okay so I want to upgrade my line to 10mb, go to the line checker and it tells me 4mbps is max supported. Okay so that is a no go.
Colleague at work lives a few houses down and has 10mb.
So off I go to Broadband stats and according to them we are on the same exchange. Go to the telkom line checker and check both telephone numbers, 021 554 ****, mine is 4mb max his is 10mb max.
Get on the line with Telkom and the answer I get,
Tlekom - "You are limited to 4mb because of the meter"
Me - "What meter?"
Telkom - "The system says you cannot have 10mb becuase of the meter, your colleague can get 40mb though"
Me - "I still don't understand, we are on the same exchange and I cannot be upgraded because of a meter, what meter?"
Telkom - "please hold"
beep and then got transferred to the technical department, 30 minutes still on hold.....
Any telkom reps here that can maybe lend a hand?
