Telkom LTE 100gb for business - concerns

Hi Guys,

We are investigating different internet options for our 30 man business.
One of the things we have been offered by OfficeGuru is the Telkom LTE-A package with 100gb of data.

Based on our current download trends 100gb will suffice (looking at firewall history), and the guy came to our office to do a speed test with his device and we got a very impressive 240mbps.

Sounds awesome, and possible what we need. My concerns with this product are
- As I understand it cellular can get very contended, and telkom is currently underutilised, but in theory this could change and our speeds could drop over time
- They are giving us a 36 month contract, that seems very rough
- There is no SLA on the product,

so my questions are,
Are my concerns valid? Should I be worried that over the next year or two the network could degrade significantly, and we are stuck in this contract.

I can understand if speeds degrade from 240 to 120, or even down to 50, but if the speeds drop to below 10, then this was a pointless excercise and I may have well just get adsl for a fraction of the cost.

TIA

If there is even a remote chance of you getting fibre I would not sign a 36 month contract, I would not sign such a long contract for any internet package at this stage...too much happening in the market.

Regarding the speeds...It's contended so hard to say what your long term experience would be...did you run a latency test to check for jitter & packet loss...this sometimes shows on LTE.

latency seems fine.
Impossible to predict the fibre market. I know that we are not on the Vumatel or Dark Fibre targeted area list (ironically there is a DF line running straight past our office, but that means nothing)
Houghton is just next door to us, and they have FTH, but telkom give no indication whether or not they will look at this area.
Bitco can give us fibre, but its still quite pricey and a 5 month lead time. I could be dead by then :p lol
