I had issues from the time i had LTE+ installed. the service was non consistent and for spending R1399 a month I would expect it to be stable. After logging a ticket (16916753) and the techicians confirming my problems it was never resolved. I called in January again and said i need to cancel. a new ticket was logged (17378917) I also sent the cancellation email with the necessary form and got a read receipt. THere after numerous calls confirmed someone would contact me.

In all the time i was pretty damn patient with the service i was getting. It was logged that cancellation be done without costs as the issue resides with Tekom. In the last phone call on the 15th of January it was said "oh they are busy with system upgrades" So i said "for 6 months????"....

SO far NO ONE has contacted me and it is the 7th of March and i have disconnected and turned off the system so that it cannot be used. I have already installed a new service from a different Wireless ISP and using it.

Shoud any further costs be deducted from me I will reverse and approach legal councel and they will deal with it with costs for Telkom's account.

Try ICASA before incurring legal costs

I'm quite interested to see where this goes... mind keeping us updated? I agree with your actions, I feel that in SA we're expected to just continue paying for a contract regardless of whether or not a quality service is actually being provided or not... It has to end somewhere.

Having a similar issue with their cancellations department.... seems that they think its ok to just ignore cancellation requests... I've sent it through twice, had the acknowledgements but absolutely nothing from Telkom themselves in terms of the promised call. Well lucky for them, their system acknowledges receipt of the request and states "standard notice period applies to cancellations" blah blah blah... So I am working on 30 days from the date of first submission and done. I notified them, if they couldn't be arsed to do anything about it then its their issue.

I will most definitely give updates here.

Hey there ToxicBunny

I resent the email this morning just for good measure BUT it bounced back due to the mailbox being full. However i have numerous mailes and notes with whom i spoke on different occasions. SO if they do a DR order again it will simply be reversed. Just inconvenient.

I gave them 45 days notice - as far as i am concerned i think i have done about as much as i can legally. It is now up to them to just do their jobs. I have ensure there is NO way any of the data on the account can be used as it would typically be an indicator that i want to continue the service.

I will definitely think twice here on out that i don't use any Telkom services.

Just resent the email again for shytes and giggles.....

Will see if an agent contacts me... But I will still be demanding that my service cancellation is processed as per the original email date if someone actually does bother contacting me.

I have also logged a dispute on their billing system.

YUO say you logged a dispute with their billing system? is that in the same place you check your account status etc?
