I was lucky enough to get the 599 deal and have noticed the past few days my internet speed has been dead slow, this is ridiculous. According to telkoms TOS of which i signed up for a contract (of which they "telkom" breached) they only shape peer to peer connections. Them enforcing some stupid new bandwidth policy was not in the agreement i signed up for, i will not cancel this. i want the serivce i paid for if they don't ill be taking it up with ICASA, i believe we should allstand up for noneseness lying service providers, we should be getting what we are promised and signed up for. not "oh sorry 4+ months down the line we are changing a few things to better improve speeds for clients and thus enforcing bandwidth throttling for clients, if you want to imrpove speeds for clients then upgrade your hardware, don't take it out on your client base:mad:, or shut your site/business down as you cannot provide what you have stated, "Lighting bolt speed truly unlimited"

This is what i signed up for (luckily i took a screenshot and saved the webpage when i signed up for the product ):
the bandwidth extensive protocols was stated in their tos as" Telkom's 50GB fair usage policy cap ONLY applies to Bit Torrent traffic via peer to peer and news servers protocols (NNTP). "

seems they modified it since then but this is not what i signed up for below

Torrents are capped at 50GB.
I still cant use my 50+50GB up in a month.

Even if you signed up for the above. There is always a fine print T&C's apply.
Meaning they can alter something's later to suite them.

Then the fair usage policy.:D

The T&C's are a standard contract applied across all packages. If the product description, marketing and sales pitch specifically states unshaped, uncapped and unthrottled on all protocols other than p2p and nntp, than that's what Telkom should be held accountable for.

Surely the product description/sales pitch takes precedence?

Imagine buying a car where the selling point is a lifetime service plan on all components other than tires and petrol.

A year later you blow the turbo, take it in for repairs and are told, sorry not covered cause you been driving more than 10 000km's a month since you had the car.
