Somehow I think Telkom Media will get the license, and their content will be rubbish for at least the first year.
Honestly who really cares about locally produced content.. 95% of it is rubbish and not worth the wasted money.

The only local content I ever really enjoyed was that game show "Temptation".

If Telkom Media does end up being the only other company to be awarded a license, Rajay Ambekar, an analyst from Cadiz African Harvest, says that it could affect SABC and e.tv's advertising revenue.

"If it is going to target the lower end of the market at around R100 a month and it gets about 1m subscribers it will affect free to air stations' advertising," he said.

How the heck is the lower end of the market going to afford ADSL2+ at Telkom rates?
