No. Prepaid. I've depleted my 2GB and 1GB. But I'm connected via 8ta right now.

WOW ! just downloaded a 367 mb file under 6 minutes ! using IDM , vodafone k4605 42 mbps usb modem ! not bad for 8ta.excellent ! IDM clocked 1.44 MBPS download speed and am in phoenix ! IDM used 2 servers to split the file.am more than happy.also the service i recieved is excellent.so far so GREAT !

I am an 8ta fan. But this weekend the speeds are quiet slow. Normal +-3mb/s this weekend -+800kb/s

Upload Speed: 402 kbps (50.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 105 ms

Im using a external antenna as well, the antenna has line of sight with the 8ta tower which is approx 1km away. Last week I got 7000 kbps. So far Im very happy with the speeds and the excellent customer service.

8ta Network

Really becoming tempting with their prices and options... I really am hoping they spread their 3G towers fast, far and wide...

8ta Towers are going to all

1. METROS first
2. Residentials around metro's
3. Townships
4. All areas were there is large residential communities.

The network will only be completed late 2012.

However we should be able to use the 8ta network where available by December 2011.

Things looking up for now R1-00 per minute all day Voice Rates coming soon.

At Last we have reached a point where cellular will be affordable.
