Telkom Mobile 5 Gig Promo contract for R99

Have any of you been contacted by the call centre claiming that your number was chosen for a promo contract. R99 per month for 24 months and 5 gig telkom mobile data, etc. The signal was very bad so I couldn't hear much AND it was at a VERY inconvenient time, so i declined. When it sinked in, it really sounded like a great contract, and at the telkom direct stores, it's not an oftion.

I also know its offered for a limited time only?

DO anyone know the small print of this promo?? If there is no catch, i want a contract like this one?!?!?1

it's a nokia something phone, or for a bit more a samsung...I'm not interested in the phone, only the data....and the small print/is there a catch!?! haha

Seems like a good deal. I'd be weary of committing to a 24 month contract though as a lot can happen during that time.

Not really if you consider how the average price of a data bundle has declined in the last year alone. I agree with theone actually.

I actually think prices might increase, as none of the other service providers can touch Telkom Mobile on their offerings.

So, if there is absolutely no competition, prices will eventually go up.

I'm now paying R100 a month less, because I was willing to sign a 2 year contract.

I can’t believe that you’re comparing data prices to home and car loans (most absurd comparison for 2014 awarded handed over to you kingrob). The prices of cars and houses are always increasing, while the price of data is more likely to go down within a period of six months to a year if one of the networks decides to have one of their data promos.

Telkom Mobile's data pricing has not been matched for the past three years......

So, to recap.....if the other service providers cannot even match your current offerings, there is absolutely zero incentive to lower the prices even more.

Thus my prediction that prices will stay the same for the forseeable future.

Well I signed up for 10gig at R199 for two years, and after two years, the price remained R199, and I got an extra 10gig night surfer bundle. So not only bad things happen
