Telkom Mobile Samsung S4 Stock Shortage, Customer Experience

I'm interested in getting the Samsung Galaxy S4 on the Telkom Mobile Unlimited R1499 offer.
Anyone using this phone on this package your comments (positive and negative) would be welcome.

But I heard from a friend who works at Telkom that there is a shortage of these phones & the staff are waiting for almost 2 months to get there company cellphones. Now if this is how they treat internal customers what's the experience of external customers?

Should I brave it & take a chance or go elsewhere? Will I be able to get LTE speeds?

Or is the Galaxy Note 2 better?

Untrue. My mate says the upgrades/replacements are on hold due to the uncertainty about folks leaving Telkom and possible retrenchments on the way. Why give them new phones if they are about to exit the company?

I was attending a promotion for Telkom Mobile yesterday and there was S4 stock right there in front of me, both colours. Ok because it was a promotion they would probably have stock to show off but there was no mention that there was a shortage.

If you can go into a Telkom Direct Store and find out firts hand.

I was in a Telekom store a week ago discussing the R1499 deal for my wife with a member of staff who had his S4 with him. I showed him my flip cover, we talked about how awesome the phone was and how my wife must ditch her iPhone for one.

There was no mention of any shortage.
