I have subscribed, to a deal with Telkom Mobile, 15gb Promo. To have internet access and do my design work from home.
My coverage was checked. (fine)
Got my Modem Hauwei E220, works. (fine)
Connect to my Mac Os 10.6.8. (fine)
Setup with mobile partner. (fine)
Settings. (fine)
Dail & connect. (happy)
Immediately check speed 4mbs. (not bad)
Go to youtube (disconnecting)
Recconect. Disconect.
For the entire month, until now the next month that Im paying for this contract, Im not getting service, I notice its when i actually try to download something, or do something data intensive, that your system decides to kick me off the network. And this is something I had to figure out myself. What about the other consumers which aren't able to do this?
Call your helpline? I have heard nothing but lies and BS from your Call Centre, (3 agents) I know this happens, I worked in a call centre. Also, I've been to 3 of your stores. Telkom Direct in Cape Town CBD and the two In N1 City, Im not sure of the difference as your branding is confusing. Everyone claimed not to be a "data specialist" an basically giving me the run around.
I have also, spoken to @8ta on twitter. After mentioning my problem, and saying that I would also like to cancel, he sends me a message back asking my details so he can cancel my account, with NO info about my problem, as of now I have shelled out R700 on this service and have received absolutely nothing in return.
Is here someone on here that can help, because what else is the option besides legal action?
I mean Telkom Should know the issues, with rolling out their service should they not? Why do they have no dedicated people who honestly tell the user about problems instead of flat out lying and avoiding calls because they dont know what to do?
Can Telkom Mobile in good faith actively advertise their pathetic data service?
