Telkom "dad" as well on this abortion. It takes two parents to germinate it. Goodbye service levels (as pathetic as it was)

No surprises that Telkom is being secretive or even downright evil. Recently, in the thread about the CCC hearings, someone mentioned that someone from Telkom reads these forums. In that case: you are part of an evil beast that must be slain.

No retrenchments will take place.

Employees will simply be informed that their Telkom career had reached its cap and that their position was terminated until further notice.

It will do the company good.

There is a danger though that the good people will see the writing on wall and run for the doors. As a retrenchment programme is rolled out moral will hit rock bottom, I don't think that service can get a whole lots worse (that is not a challenge, btw).

Telkom need a major mindset shift, and that might well be helped with a change of a few heads...

I recall Telkom retrenching thousands of workers a while back, which was blamed and even by Telkoms own admission for the slow delivery time for installations and for sometimes fault repairs. So how exactly is retrenching even more people going to help the situation?

If Telkom wasn't so worried, they would've just said "we are not going to cut staff" but because they are, they won't comment.
I'm betting they are going to do what they did a few years back and offer staff the packages again.
I love it!
Totally!
Not that people will lose jobs, but that Telkom is on it's way OUT... BEAUTIFUL!

Telkom is in a closed period ahead of their iterim results announcement in November.

They use their 'closed periods' as an excuse to be silent.
