Telkom R599 uncapped LTE promotion goes national

Cleared cookies but the page still shows Gauteng so you must scroll on the map to your area.

Nothing for me but they in Ballito so perhaps 2016/2017 :).

Misses me in EL.
Very interesting FUP which only seems to apply to torrent traffic and not stuff like netflix.
 
Missing it by 805 meters for me. Not that I would have used it though. Happy on a 10 Mbps line with VOX.

Anyone on this package already care to comment on actual performance - whether performance differs between day and night? What is the actual FUP, and provide some speed tests.
 
Well I thankfully fall within a coverage area, so have thrown my name into the hat....

I will happily cancel the ADSL and phoneline if this works as well as it seems to.
 
So i'm not in the coverage map but with a mifi in my house I pickup the LTE from the tower that is covered. I get about 22Mbps down and 1Mbps up. I would give up my adsl for that. Might just use my sisters address to get the deal and use it it at my house....

They will come to the address to install an antenna, so that idea might noot work

No coverage in the Strandfontein/Bay View area in Cape Town. Ai, if only. If FUP is at about 100gb I'd be fine. Heck even a capped lte at similar pricing would be fine.

Thing is we've got DFA running down Spine Road and can easily be used for this purpose.

I need to investigate the possibility of our community doing what the Constantia okes have pulled off.

Maybe I can speak to the guy and tell him. Would work even better if they install the antenna for me at my house because when I went on the roof with my mifi I was getting like 38Mbps download speed.

Unlucky..I'm actually covered in my area, what a win!!considering we can't get ADSL (stolen phone lines that telkom has no plans to replace...), and we're scraping by with two separate Telkom Mobile packages, I'm really considering getting this!! Just hope that other people in my area are slow haha
 
Nice of Telkom, this really is competition for fiber.
 
So I have applied for the R599 LTE option - 2 MONTHS AGO. And NOBODY called me. There is NO CONTACT NUMBER in the email that they send to confirm you are in the first 50.

And when I tried to re-apply now, it comes up with a message "You have already submitted your application. Thank you for your interest."

What now ? Do they want my business ?
