Telkom R599 uncapped LTE promotion goes national

Proof. That people will accept even the most atrocious service for a cheap product.
 
Call 10213 and choose the LTE option. Be prepared to wait for an hour on the phone to speak to someone, but you'll get through eventually. Persevere through and you'll find that the staff are quite helpful and will run through the application process with you. The online order system is quite broken so just forget about trying to do it that way. I ended up calling almost daily for a week or so until it got sorted, but it's worth it.

Thanks for the tip that is the number I was trying the last time I tried.

I'm just seriously dissapointed that they "want my money" but they expect me to do all the "leg work" too, like I don't have better things to do with my time than follow up on offers they made me.

Please advise if you can still with applications as I have tried calling the call center and been bounced around multiple different departments with no success. Your Facebook team has also been less than helpful in trying to resolve my questions around how I can move an application forward.

Please can you assist, I am at the end of my tether now and lacking options.

FB MyBB call centre - thats why sent cancellation for my Telkom ISP and reducing the phone line to adsl and minimum telephone line.
 
Hopefully I shall actually get this product tonight.

Update passed application so now to wait for delivery. Question is whether slowdown some experience worth it. Will see.

Insist on speaking to a supervisor. I was sorted and same day got called back. Did application and now waiting on final approval/delivery.

Update - checked my TU credit score and its excellent so mere formality I would assume.

CourierIt says busy updating yesterdays deliveries for Rica. Hope they dont come back as no documents were taken with.

Tried to get hold of telkom but no luck just a generic consultant will call via FB messenger. Ph just rings and IE crashed when trying telkom chat.
 
Got activated tonight.

To avoid being throttled by 50gb FUP can one purchase data bundles. If yes whats cost per gig?
 
R599.00 uncapped LTE, but then they want to charge me R500+ to boost my ADSL with another 100GB? :/
 
Prefer adsl but yep the data prices too much.
 
How does one access or activate the free monthly 10gb wifi. Also must it be a telkom simcard or can one link another cellphone provider simcard to the 10gb wifi hotspots.

Log in to the telkom portal.
On the right you will see "Manage Subscriptions" click on it.
From the drop down box look for the number that you have the 10GB wifi for. Select it and click on fetch on the right.
Scroll down to "Set Wi-Fi Password" on the left under purchase recurring bundle.

There you set the wifi password.

You apparantly use the usename which is the cellphone number and the password you set there to connect to the wifi hotspot.

How not tested it as yet but if I get the chance I will.
