Telkom refusing to install lines in Allens Nek Roodepoort?

Hi All,

I have recently moved into Allens Nek and need to get a Telkom line installed at my new place?

I've been waiting two months for these chops to install and when I follow up with them they say that the line can't be installed due to cable left... I see maybe two or three Telkom techs in my area a week so they wouldn't be servicing an area that has no infrastructure due to cable theft.

I live maybe 500 meters away from Allen Glen High School, I popped in to the office yesterday and they'e got an uncapped 4mb line with Telkom.

Is anyone else having the same issue with Telkom and have you eventually got them to install?

Please help, I'm suffering!

Approach your immediate neighbours. Get their numbers.
Then call telkom and tell them you can take out a & b's windows with stones. And guess what... They have working landlines...

Thanks for the advice, currently in the process of getting as many neighbours numbers as possible.

I'm a bit lost on the "a and b's windows" comment though?

A & B refers to neighbours. You could probably throw stones at their windows. (not recommended, unless you want to start bad neighbour probs)

LOL In other words, if they close enough for u to take their windows out, then they are very close to you...

A freind of mines got a similar problem, only they refuse to install a line because its a newly developed area... its in the kiblerpark area, south of jhb... and they told hom to get a petition going and he needs 100+ signatures before they can consider it...
