To hell with this crap!

"In terms of legislative frameworks, Telkom can set its own procurement and BEE requirements with all our suppliers, domestic and international."

Now that is another reason why AA/BEE is such a nasty beast that never ever should have been given Frankenstein like life.

It is an evil, bad Satanic idea that can never be implemented fairly because of the pure gigantic and overpowering nature of it's medling in the lives of individuals...

This is sad but alas not unexpected as foolish as this is. I am sure HP will find a way of bending the right way for "almighty" Telkom...

Would be nice to have alternatives to Telkom as Telkom obviously has to HP...

You know, with the kind of profits Telkom are making, I didnt think it would matter too much on getting genuine HP cartridges to print those bills on :D

Woohoo! I'm gonna go sell Mecer to Telkom!

Seriously though, HP took a bad call on this one, all their competitors have some sort of equity stake in their local operations, FFS even the almighty Cisco managed to get it right.

Now if only SITA would kick them out too, it would be happy days for Mecer resellers!

While I don't have any sympathy for HP, I do smell a dead rat coming from Telkodemonopolies' direction - although that might just be LooLooPoo, perhaps Telkodemonopolies is trying to bully HP into providing a better support contract and the beast is only pretending to have applied some internal BEE evaluation process to assess HP's alternate equity plan...

Note to HP: Offer larger kickbacks in future.
