I took out the Telkom SmartInternet 1GB plan (SIM only) on the 7th of November 2016 by visiting the Telkom Direct store in Hermanus. On activating the contract, the agent said that I would only be liable for R59 per month with no connection fee.
It is December and I still have not received an invoice but I have found out that I am being charged a R200 SIM connection fee.
I have been in contact with the Telkom call center but cannot get the R200 reversed - they claim:
1. The connection fee is valid but their website states no SIM or connection fee
2. The fee is valid if you go and order via a store but you cannot order it online (website says 'go to store')
Has anybody else have had this problem?
