Once a trip or two is organized to Mauritius then all is forgotten again! Telkom will prevail, thanks to their most important shareholders.

They have had plenty time and more... What on earth. How can they just keep pushing the date and pushing it.. ICASA must do something. Telkom thinks they are the boss. C'mon man. This is getting ridiculous

ITWeb quoted Telkom as saying that it expects to become fully compliant with the ADSL regulations by March 2007. This date came and went without much fuss. Telkom however disputes the ITWeb claims, saying that the company never committed to March 2007.

What do ITWeb have to say about this?

Telkom however points out that “as a responsible corporate citizen, Telkom respects ICASA and is always working closely with ICASA to resolve any matters between Telkom and ICASA.”

Translated: We just bribe them to stop complaining

Just pull them into line. Put some hard restrictions on telkom until they comply.

Good job mybroadband, let's hope that they won't just ignore it again.

To everyone who sent in complaints to VNkwane@icasa.org.za and Pmompe@icasa.org.za those emails were ignored or not even received. VNkwane no longer works at Icasa, and Pmompe does not bother to receive email. I kept on forwarding the email to them week after week waiting until I got a reply. Eventually yesterday I got fedup and forwarded the email to all @icasa.org.za addresses I could find on the first 5 pages of google. Surprisingly before the end of the day yesterday Icasa phoned me twice to confirm my complaint, they also escalated my complaint to Telkom and gave me a formal reference number. Telkom now have 14 days to comment on the complaints.

Everyone who sent in the complaint previously which fell on deaf ears should do the same, until they get a formal reference number from Icasa/Telkom.

Remember Remember

Yo Fellow complainants! Dont forget you have to send your complaint to the ISP first (or at least as well) to give them a chance to reply (fob you off or say they think they are doing a great job).

I too got a call from Izak Redelinghuys who is the co-ordinator for the CCC regarding my complaint after I sent a gentle reminder after no response to my questions raised by StoneyHill and his dad
see post 27

(thanks again). I will apparently recieve a call again to address those issues by friday (or Ill call him).
I think a rebate from Telkom would be good although unlikely, maybe past subscribers could get an extra discount for some months. I would like to see some financial penalty to telkom and some kind of reimbersement for consumers. Even if this does not happen and we can get Telkom to impliment by November its some kind of victory for users going forward.
Maybe we are getting somewhere?
