Has anyone noticed that while you are connected via the "unrestricted" profile, torrents are not deducted from your "P2P FUP bundle" but from your "inclusive Uncapped service"?

Yes I can confirm this. Changing back to internet apn solves the issue but obviously you are back behind CGN

Carrier Grade Nat

https://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showth...m-Incoming-Ports-blocked-use-unrestricted-APN

Basically more users than available ipv4 ip addresses so telkom is giving people a private ip address on the router and manages the ip addresses on the network and route it to your private ip address accordingly.

Issues with this is your actual public ip address will change frequently and sometimes you will experience problems with VPN and p2p stuff like xbox party chat ect.

Changing to the unrestricted apn will give you a public ip address to your router which would only get recycled once you disconnect.

Just some more interesting info. Unrestricted apn is also causing issues with free me.

Lit video and music bundles are not being consumed at all and all data runs off the normal data bundle.

Not at all. I'm in Kosmosdal x66 and LTE-A is still rocking. Probably because the tower is on a Telkom exchange building with a generator and battery standby the thing did not go down once in 1 year 6 months that I lived here.

Took the B618 router. Getting 60Mb/s down without the external antenna. The B315 needed the external antenna to get decent speeds.

Ok, so do you suggest i take the 24 month again. or stick to the month to month. Its still a great deal

If you were originally on the R699 / R799 then take the upgrade and B618

But as I am on the R599 (now R529) deal, no ways would I sign 24 months at R799 for a router
