just apply with an address within the coverage area. ask them to deliver to your "work" address - ie where you will be during the day...

Too add to this. Remember the address you pick. I'm in limbo because I "moved" and they can't/won't push the order through

Using external antenna and have LOS but best I could get. I'm 1.1km away from the tower. Speedtest:
Attachment 333333

Still much faster than my 4Mbit ADSL that was doing 2.5Mbit. Was expecting much faster but 10x the speed I had is much better.

I think you are pointing your antenna to the wrong tower. 104dBm and you are 1.1km from the tower with LOS. Can never be to be honest with you. I'm about 6km from the closest tower with LOS at all not even a bit and I get 99dBm signal strength and faster speeds than you. You should try to turn your antenna because you pointing it at the wrong tower.

Actually the only 2 towers in Richards Bay is actually getting people on them. MeerenSee looks like the first 50 is almost finished.

I'm still skeptical, wondering where's the catch in all this and at what point people will start getting slower speeds due to congestion, someware along the line Telkom will screw people in one way or another since they have you locked in a 24 month contract.
Totally uncapped at the price and at the speeds people are getting just sounds to good to be true, at some point Telkom won't be able to keep it up anymore.

I will only take this if ADSL goes balls up, LTE pings are still too high in my area.

Even if it drops to 10Mbps, it's still good value for money.

So if I understand this deal correctly, and after reading just about all 81 pages:
1) Streaming is uncapped;
2) Xbox downloads would be uncapped;
3) Torrents and newsservers are throttled to 128kbps after 50 gigs during the daytime;
4) Torrents and newsservers unshaped between 12am and 6am.

Can somebody who is on this deal already please comment? If it's all correct, this is a fantastic deal!

Sounds accurate to me. I am already being throttled on torrents I think but I'm currently downloading via http on full speed and my son is downstairs streaming Netflix in FullHD, and I'm occasionally watching something in YouTube. I actually throttle my own daytime downloads to 20mb.

Could you tell us if your torrents are throttled permanently or not? I assume you have hit the 50 gigs limit.

I know cavedog has mentioned he is unthrottled outside of 6pm and 12am but he seems to be using a mixture of downloading methods, which could be messing with the data.

I can tell you that either 1) after midnight when my downloads get wet and turn into Gremlins, or 2) in 3 days time.

1) Correct
2) Not sure, I have heard issues with PS4 as it uses a P2P method. Not sure about Xbox, but don;t think it is an issues
3) No, they will be throttled 24/7 after the 50gb
4) Incorrect. Unshaped between 12am and 6PM :) (Whilst under 50GB FUP)

I have asked the question so many times in this thread and failed to get a good answer i'm fairly sure those who receive their routers are forced to sign some sort of NDA. :D

Throttled permanently (until the beginning of the next month) after 50GB. Only affects NNTP and P2P
