You can also check your p2p FUP usage and total usage over all by logging into the router and sending a sms.

Send Bal or Blance to 188 and you will get your usage smsed to you.

Are you guys who's speeds drop drastically logging faults with Telkom?
I haven't, yet. I've had the device for only 2 days, and last night was my first such experience. However, moving forward, we should all log a fault - because if we sit on our hands and do nothing then this could become a construction of the norm we accept. More so, the fact that the service is a mere "infant" and as the subscriber numbers increase, this situation may yet get worse.

Suffice it to say, my hypothesis is based purely on whether the 9PM network degradation for many is merely coincidental or purposively - time will tell. Nevertheless, early sounding the foghorns of dissatisfaction may be the prudent approach... Therefore, I shall, and encourage all, to log faults as they occur.

And this from getting in the 15-20mbps range about two weeks ago.

Ok, dont know if this is the correct place to ask, but since a few of you guys have connected another router to the huawei modem maybe you guys might have some insights. I have connected my TP-LINK adsl router to the Huawei router. Set the DMZ on huawei and changed the TP-LINK to wireless router with static ip. So everything is working fine. The problem is my speeds through the TP-LINK. On the huawei router I get around 30mbps with speedtest. If I test it through the second router, I get about 3mbps.

I have set the router to channel 11, I have changed it "N" and I have set it to 20/40 (does not have just a 40). But still the same. The only crappy reason I had to connect the second router is for Roku, where I can not specify a route or DNS.

Anyone have any advice that I might have overlooked

Have you tried connecting the test device (PC, laptop or whatever) to the TP-Link by direct Ethernet cable ?
Take the second wireless link (802.11n) out of the equation and see if you get the same speed ?

I can a small issue with my setup.

So I'm pretty far outside of the coverage zone. Now I think my antenna is pointing exactly between the 2 cells. There is nothing I can do about that because of my location to the tower. As you can see Telkom pointed these cells to the areas that has the most houses.

I suspect my router is switching between the two cells I circled. One of them gives me 42Mbps the other one max out on 23Mbps. Once the router switches the RSRP increases to 109dBm then I get 23Mbps but when it switches to the other one I get 42Mbps and the RSRP is 97dBm....

Not sure how I'm going to solve this issue.

Just got my delivery after calling in for the waybill number yesterday. Now for activation. Did anyone get activated in less than 24 hours? I am assuming that because its Friday, activation wont go through until Monday?

My sim was pre activated. I think it was because it was couriered on a Firday and they only delivered on Monday. When I switched the modem and sim on it was activated.

I would like to find out whether KODI will count towards to FUP limit? We are exclusively using KODI to stream and I'm concerned that this may be seen as torrent download. Appreciate any feedback.

The courier company is meant to RICA the sim after deliver, and activation would ordinarily follow automatically. Mine was already activated by the time I got home after delivery. But, this is not always the case, and you will have to then spend many hours with 10213 trying to get it sorted. Good luck.

If the company that delivers your parcel scans it in fast enough you should be good to go.

1.So phone Courier IT which is probably the company who delivered.
2.Ask if the parcel has been scanned as delivered,if yes phone telkom. If no ask the staff to please assist.
3.Phone telkom mobile and say your parcel was delivered 2 days ago, seems like they dont have a place to check because i lied through my teeth.
4.They will activate/Rica and then guide you through the setup
5. Bobs your uncle:D
