Can you send me a number as well , got the call but sales person took down the wrong banking details said she will phone back , never did .... so I'm stuck in 'limbo' now .... eish thx in advance

ok, so i tried what you said, pointed to the other lte tower in my area does not pick it up, cellID still stayed the same, did a network rescan to try resync it still picked up the lte tower that im connected to, but i did managed to drop my DB to -75 and sinr close to 20db most of the time, but even now during the day time i was lucky if i got 10mb download

Did you choose the external antenna in the router settings?

All of a sudden I cannot get to unotelly. It works on my normal phone lte connection, but not through telkoms LTE. It just times out

Don't wait for the call! Phone 10213 and follow prompts to check state of your order, hang on patiently for up to an hour for a sales person to help you. Do this daily until you get a courierit tracking number from them. once the item has been delivered wait until the afternoon, then phone local CoutierIT branch to confirm that they have scanned your RICA documents.

Have applied and was sent a ticket number.
Now to wait for THE CALL.

Glad to see I'm not the only one battling with them!! Got a ticket two weeks ago, decided to phone a week ago and do the order. Been phoning Telkom since Tuesday, keep getting the same answer "your application has been approved, just need to process the order and you will get your waybill nr by the end of the afternoon". After I told them they been giving me the same answer for the last three days the story changed to "They have been dealing with with January's backlog, they should start with February's orders today or tommorrow".:twisted: Really????? So lets wait some more :mad:

On another note, Is there anybody in Springs that has the service? Curious to know how it's been going, especially the speeds. Did a test with the works LTE router and got 30mb/s down and 3mb/s up with the bunny ears in the window still.

Connected from yesterday in Springs although im about 4 km from.the Strubenvale tower with no line of sight... im.averaging 35mb/s download and 6mb/s upload with the external antenna... im more than happy as adsl was not an option in our surburb and my 10 + 10gb contract was just not enough

How long did it take to get your stuff? I'm about 1.6km away from the Selection park Tower, so speed should be good with poynting antenna. Much better than the 8mb/s that I just about manage to sync to.

Do they deliver they poynting antenna with the router?

On my side, 4 weeks after ordering, I got a call from the courier, to deliver today. Nothing yet even from Telkom (no WBill number, nothing). So what do I do when I get the router? do I plug it in and connect? how long does it take to activate?

Applied on Tues - got my waybill number yesterday (Thurs)

Now just to wait for the couriers to deliver :D

Everything here in JHB seems to be slower, peak night time speeds..... delivery times......:twisted:
And we all thought Capetonians are slow :whistling:

So my antenna was installed yesterday but the tech and I could not find a decent signal. With the bunny ears I got around 21 -23 meg and with the external antenna the fastest we could get is 25 meg. - very disappointing. The techies were excellent and tried their very best for 2.5 hours. Last night it hovered around 3 meg in their peak time. I am not sure if I am happy with this.

I was really hoping for better speeds. Today is day 7 of cooling off period. Not quite sure what to do?

there is something going down with the telkom network, been like this since last monday, there a few people including me in the same boat as you

good luck I've tried it all, eventually after my hello peter post they said they would come to my house and fix it, dont know what they going to fix to be honest cause it only happens after night, like every complaint on the forums its their network not our house setups

MY B315s-936 isn't showing any values for RSSI or RSRQ, only RSRP and SINR. Any idea why this is?
