With the areas being so small, I see they are not getting a lot of customers.
Expand the uncapped special and there might be more!!!!
Why they're taking out front page ads in local newspapers.

Has anyone used this? Is the speed consistent and stable?
Still waiting for them to come and install my antennae, I get a call every second day reminding me that one day the installer will call to arrange a time, but nothing yet. I might have to try ut the thing up myself this weekend

I have been getting emails from Telkom to say my two 10+10GB contracts are long concluded (I've had them for about 4 or 5 years), and they have said I should move over to 50GB LTE. I am interested - there is coverage in my suburb....but have some concerns

Is this service backwards compatible ? i.e. Can it also be used on the TM 3G/HSPA+ network ? I am just thinking, what if the LTE network is down....or if I go on holiday to somewhere without LTE, will I still be able to use it on 3G ?

One more thing - although I live in a very strong Telkom signal area, I always use an external yagi uda antenna. Does the Huawei B593 included in this deal, have an external antenna port ?

No it's locked to the LTE tower where you are registered.

OK so the guys have come and gone. pretty neat installation even though I had to do the roof space crawling. I'm right on the edge of a cell so the guys said he would ask them to boost the tower. Not sure if thats possible?

Aaanyhoo, speed is much better than my crap 2mbit ADSL

I also get good speeds with Telkom LTE Uncapped in Pretoria east, tower in sight from my roof. External supplied antenna installed by Telkom techy. I get 15-20mbs down and 5mbs upload during the day, sometimes even as fast as 30mbs.
BUT then at night speed drops to 2.5mbs download although the upload still hovers around 5mbs, useless for any streaming.
