Telkom uncapped LTE for R599 per month

Can someone smarter than me pls tell me why the F! its so difficult and misson to activate a telkom sim? Been to the clueless telkom shop..spent more than 2.5 hours on the phone...all i get is a " I will escalate your query"..

10213 not working for me either. been 4 days and still not activated.

Thanks.. finally managed... was desperate enough to try the online help chat on telkom site.... Immediate help..and the lady on the other side was sharp....Way better than sitting on phone with call centre.

So.... after 5 calls (avg. 45min hold time each) I finally got through to the call centre (10213).

Order was declined by Back Office. Did not meet their economic blah-blah.
Credit Record best it's been in 5 years (during which I stall manage to buy 2 cars).

Might be the current contract I'm on?
Might be the office phone not being answered so they couldn't confirm employment?
Might be the current contract I'm on now (Internet 5 Promo plus extra bundles)?

Couldn't get clear answer. They'll have an LTE agent call me regarding upgrading my current contract to the R599 Promo deal... :mad:
Could end up using a family members details and paying for it from my bank account... :twisted:
