Hi,
Telkom is again making fun of ICASA and the people of South Africa.
It reduced the call rates for local and national calls, BUT keeps the minimum cost of a call constant. One will only get more seconds for the minimum call.
As most calls (on my accounts anyway) are short enough to fit within the "minimum cost time", the impact of this reduction will be minimal.
Add to this the increase of the telephone line rental, and the south african consumer is again the victim of Telkoms' unbelievable creative ways of maximsing profits without delivering service.
I do hope that ICASA will see through this scheme and demand that the minimum cost of a call also be dropped by 10%.
