Telkom Wifi Modem Model ?????? Please Help

Wonder if someone can help.

Could someone please tell me what model the WiFi modem is you get with Telkom ????
Does it have a network plug to connect to my PC ????

I got a mega100WR, it comes with 4 ethernet ports, one usb and wireless functionality...

It is possible to connect it to my onboard LAN.

Reason being somehow, my board lost it's USB funtionality.
No USB, No OnBoard Sound.........

Its normally the Mega 100 or the Mega 200.
If you are having issues with your onboards sound/usb then you should check to see that they are not diasabled in the bios, XP generally doesnt have resource conflicts but that could be another cause.
Check and update the drivers from your board manufacturers website. If all else fails then your board is probably on its way out.

The default way of connecting a Router with a PC is via Ethernet (LAN) cable. So in short: Yes it will work.

Make sure u can do the free self install with free adsl router, and if they tune u that you can't, then don't pay for their crappy Mega 100WR, rather get your own one with a proper name brand.

Yeah they cancelled the free wifi modem offer, i think you can still do the SIO and save those install costs. Buy yourself a real DSL modem like a netgear or the billion.

Even so, compare pricing and try not to support Telskum! And whatever u do, don't sign a 24 months contract!!
